I can’t really explain why but I just love these lyrics. Maybe because they’re from a time when hip hop was a bit more playful and I don’t know, goofy.

I was reading Juice Magazine while in Germany. In it a rapper called Bass Sultan Hengzt [really] quoted a song by a femcee called Cora E which went Es wär nicht so wie es ist wär es damals nie gewesen wie es war which translates as ”Things wouldn’t have been what they are now if they wouldn’t have been like they were then”.
I did three versions of it, this is the first one.

GEEN COMMMENTAAR
Ik heb een site, enkeling.nl. Daar probeer ik elke dag een nieuwe tekening op te zetten. Je kunt ook commentaar geven. Veel mensen doen dat dan ook.
Plotseling begon ik merkwaardige reacties van afzenders met rare namen te krijgen. Zoals Haralambos. Of houston gay bar. En bastard magnificent, teenage girl swimsuit, frog sex xxx, of hot female fire fighter.
Deze personen geven raadselachtige reacties. Soms zijn ze heel positief. Dan schrijven ze bijvoorbeeld: “Your site has very much liked me. I shall necessarily tell about him to the friends.” Zoiets is altijd fijn om te horen. Zo’n zin wordt dan wel gevolgd door “gaara costume gaara of the sand sasuke vs gaara episode gaara naruto sama video youtube gaara sasuke gaara sakura fan fiction gaara shukaku”, waarvan de betekenis wat minder gemakkelijk te achterhalen is.
Veel reacties lijken uit abstracte mantra’s te bestaan: “Buy phentermine online buy. Phentermine online. Online pharmacies phentermine same day shipping. Phentermine money order pharmacy online. Buy phentermine online. Cheap phentermine online. Online phentermine. Cheape… phentermine online url….” Door middel van herhaling wordt een soort trance opgeroepen.
Vaak ook heb ik het gevoel dat iemand me iets wil vertellen maar niet precies weet hoe: “Relevant information about nude black tit….” of “Value information about funny retard picture…” of “Top news about everywhere shave….”
Het is alsof een soort innerlijke stem me vertelt dat ik deze boodschappen moet doorgeven.
Heb ik wel een keus?
