An alternative cover for the album The Chemistry Of Common Life by Fucked Up [There goes the Family Safeness of my site...] I made for kindamusik.net. To see it in its original context click here.
I did one too last year, for † by Justice.
The year before I made a cover for Human Animal by Wolf Eyes. Click here to see that one.

I’m participating in an exhibition called SPAME-MOI in France at the moment. Since the theme of this exhibition is spam I’m showing some works of my Spam Series. For more information check the SPAME-MOI site here.
Based on a lyric from the song Les Limites by French singer Julien Doré. Soundtrack to my holiday. Check the clip on YouTube, I think it’s awesome.

Based on a lyric from “Make Your Own Kind of Music” by “Mama” Cass Elliot.

Based on an old german poster from the early 60’s. Nice to see the Beatles as a support act huh?
I decided to leave in the typos in the text.

Oude geschiedenis van Pa, die leefde als een dier want hij schaamde zich nergens voor en hij was erg practisch, the title of a book by J.M.A. Biesheuvel, brought to my attention by Wim Wepster.

Based on a lyric by the Jungle Brothers from their still extra fresh Done By the Forces of Nature.
“treble, bass, haste makes waste
nature puts things in the right place
hot baked carrot cake
in life there’s many things at stake”
I can’t really explain why but I just love these lyrics. Maybe because they’re from a time when hip hop was a bit more playful and I don’t know, goofy.

Based on a lyric by the Jungle Brothers from their still extra fresh Done By the Forces of Nature.
“artificials, manmades / they don’t use lemons to make lemonades
everything i see is half real / zipped-locked, rapped up signed and sealed”

part of a Spam Series painting I did at a party in Delft.

The whole thing the day after. It was a collaboration beween different artists. Photos by Micha de Bie.

I was reading Juice Magazine while in Germany. In it a rapper called Bass Sultan Hengzt [really] quoted a song by a femcee called Cora E which went Es wär nicht so wie es ist wär es damals nie gewesen wie es war which translates as ”Things wouldn’t have been what they are now if they wouldn’t have been like they were then”.
I did three versions of it, this is the first one.
