Enkeling is het alias van Symen Veenstra. Hij is illustrator en werkt vanuit Amsterdam. Zijn werk vond o.a. zijn weg naar kranten, tijdschriften, websites, jaarverslagen en folders. Hij maakte illustraties voor o.a. Blaadje, Bright, COC, Defiant.tv, Geldgids, Vara’s Kassa, Kop of Munt, La Vie en Rose, Maandag, OOM, het Parool en Shell. Daarnaast maakt hij vrij werk. Een gedeelte van zijn typografisch werk heeft hij inmiddels geëxposeerd. Enkeling streeft ernaar elke dag een verse illustratie of tekening op enkeling.nl te plaatsen.
Enkeling is the AKA of Symen Veenstra. He is an illustrator who works in Amsterdam. His work appears in papers, magazines, websites, annual reports and folders. He made illustrations for a diverse range of clients. It’s Enkeling’s aim to put a new illustration or drawing on his site every day.

Amsterdam Logo for CitID

This is a logo I made for the CitID project by Norwegian Ink. Artists from over the world were asked to represent their hometown. I decided not to adapt to the usual practical rules for a logo, but just go all out, usability be damned.
I made my logo in two layers, the underlaying layer is made out of Amsterdam landmarks and other assorted Amsterdam-related parts.
